Re: Oshkosh 2008

Dear all,
does anyone of you guys plan to visit Oshkosh Airventure this year?

I was there several years ago and plan to make this trip again this summer

I was also there a few years back, in 2003, and I drove from Florida to Wisconsin, without any cruise control, solo!!

If any of you are TRULY aircraft 'buffs', then you will not be disappointed!! This was, BY FAR, the best airshow that I have ever witnessed and there was ONLY 12,000 aircraft there!! From home-built to kit-built, from ultra-lights to the largest flying aircraft in the world, from WWI replicas to modern military jets, its all there!! Since I am a WW2 aircraft nut, I was rather displeased that there was ONLY 300 WW2 aircraft there!! I saw a Fairey Firefly Mk V, a Spitfire Mk VIII & a Mk IX, a Ju-52, 2 P-40's, etc. just to name a few!! There were ONLY 400 vendors there as well!! The EAA museum there is phenomenal!!

So, have I pumped any of you up enough, yet?!!

Looking forward to annoying the 'former' Florida Diecast Forum members!!
