Re: How critical should our model criticisms be?

I have expressed my opinion in the past on this forum. Then recently, I received a couple of "scathing" PMs regarding an opinion I've posted. As a result, I no longer feel it is safe to either give an opinion about or critique any model (or manufacturer) on this forum. That is why I seldom log in or post any more.

My personal rules are simple: (1) only post positive opinions and use the most positive language possible so as not to offend anyone. I will only post if I feel it is absolutely necessary (or I'm praising something) (2) If I do a review, I will only comment on a model I own personally and have held in my hands. I have a set format I will use (see my FoV Me262 review for example) that stresses both the positives and negatives as I see them. From now on I will not post a negative comment on any model I do not own, even if there is clear evidence that it is grossly inaccurate. (3) My P.M. preferences is shut off. If I need to contact someone, I'll turn it on as long as needed. If you need to contact me, let me know in a post. Bye.

HotTrap, that is TERRIBLE! So sorry that happened. You will be missed!
