I found one photo that might support this, but it is of an earlier model Zero. It is of a A6M2b model 21 of the Ohita Air Group, an operational conversion unit. Caption describes the aircraft in foreground "Ota-109" as having undersurfaces painted in orange-yellow with underside near landing gear bay being a dark green.  |
