Hi d.h.j - when I was last there, back in May '93 there was no Jagdpanther present at that time.
Amongst some of the star exhibits that WERE there on that Friday were some of the following.....(attached pix)
The only reason we'd been informed of this excellent museum, was when coming down the staircase of the Diekirch museum in Luxembourg, my mate was busy chatting to an 'off-duty' Koblenz police-officer whose father was in the S.S. on the 16th Dec 'Wacht Am Rhein' assault.
He informed us of the Wehrtechnische collection & metioned a 'Morser' in the collection.
My two mates nearly passed-out when I told them what he meant..... (a 'Sturm-Tiger') !!!!!!!!!!!
Is it still there today ????????
Sadly, on the way from Lux' thru Germany, one of my mates fell off his CB.900 & cracked a rib (on Wednesday) !!!!!!!!!!!
So only two of us went there........ two days later.
No flash-photography allowed & VERY poor interior lighting, coupled with a VERY dark-afternoon meant Dark-pictures !!!!!!!
Got absolutely RAIN-SATURATED on the way home on my Kawasaki Z.1000.J
Was worth it though, to see such rare beasts.
Is "Erika" 'Black-801' (the Panther Mk.V) still there also ?????? as I've seen footage of her trundling around, since.
P.S. the 'Fugly' leaning against the SturmTiger is NOT "yours-truly" (I'm taking the snap !)
