Re: Why not 1/72 Mirage III

Simply because it's not American I'm afraid my friend...!

Did you forget HM as already produced the Mirage 2000, Franklin Mint making the Mirage III in 1/48 & Armour produced Mirages 1/100 scale!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I might add these sell or sold extremely well not just around the globe but also here in the states!!!!
It just gets on my nerves when people try to paint American collectors as ignorant & only wanting nothing but U.S, aircraft, nothing is further from the truth.

Personally I'm a big fan of the Mirage fighter line, I think they were some of the most beautiful jet aircraft ever built.
I'm also a IAF fan & have collected past IAF releases from HM & Witty, a 1/72 Mirage III would be very welcome in my collection.

The Mirage had a outstanding service run in the IAF, but I think it may a close tie between it & the F-15 for best combat record in the IAF.
As far as I know the F-15 had zero combat losses & has shot down much of the Arab Air Forces best equipment & pilots.
I would like to see the cold hard numbers on this if anybody has them.
