By the way, since you like Dragon 1/35, are you into Tamiya pre-built armour? I recently got hold of a couple of Tigers in 1/48 scale and an M1A2 Abrams in 1/35 scale. Very awesome.

Not yet. I did see the tamiya tigers on the motorpool but really dont want to take the plunge and purchase from them nor switch to another scale altogether. I just picked up a elefant from the depot for $40. I'm going to look for the cyberhobby tiger next and maybe some more of the limited edition 1/72 scale models. I agree with your assessment on the dragon and minichamps tanks. Personally like you I dont care about heft as I'm not going to be playing with them.
