IMHO, FOV's 1/16 Tiger I and King Tiger are as close to personal perfection as I'll ever see!

As for aircraft, I know people are going to disagree but the HM 1/32 Dauntless is pretty close (excluding price consideration, included figures and the drooping prop due to it being metal). My Dauntless doesn't have gap issues or, as far as I'm concerned, glaring inaccuracies in the overall look. To me, it simply looks the way I think an SBD should look shruken down to 1/32 scale!

It's main issues seem to be heft (I think it's heavy enough personally), the price tag, the scale of the pilot and gunner, and the droopy prop. There weren't any of the usual gap, inaccuracy, paint or even QC issues (besides the prop and this was more of an metal content/ambitiousness issue on HM's part).

Anyway, those are my personal picks...........your actual mileage and options may vary.
