| I've got a problem or a puzzle and I don't know which it is. I started to assemble the bird and as I looked over the parts I realized that the covers for the engine nacelles were missing. The model can be displayed with wheels down, all the parts are there, but to show the 219 in flight means leaving two gaping holes in the nacelles. The covers are not lost; I always examine the plastic packaging before removing the model. So, what's up? Did I get a Monday morning plane packager, or is this the norm? Damn odd if it's the latter. |
Jehosaphat, it looks as though I put foot in mouth one-more-time. I LOVE the aircraft, visit it every timeI get to the Udvar-Hazy (NASM) which is usually twice a year, and I have it prominently displayed in my Luftwaffe section. However, I still think it's damn odd that the in-flight nacelle covers are not included.
And, while at the U-H I also do a couple of walk arounds of the DO-335. What an amazing aircraft.
