Re: Minichamps M1A2 how is it? review?

It is certainly a massive beast(in size and weight) when placed next to the T-72. The only real issue I have with it, and its one often made of Minichamps is that it is painted very much in mono, meaning yellow just about everything including the road wheels, tho i guess thats probably how they would have left the depot at the beginning of the GW.

As much as I love Minichamps, I think it is unfair to compare them to Tamiya's MC, which to my mind are the absolute pinnacle of pre-assembled miniature armor collectibles. The only thing holding them back is the lack of weight in comparison to Minichamps and the prices that they now command.

I am certainly happy to have it in my collection.

I see where you are coming from. I suppose comparisons between the two are unavoidable since (i) it's the same tank in question and (ii) they are of the same scale. For those of us who are financially challenged and yet desire a 1:35 M1A2, it is inevitable that we have to weigh the pluses and minuses between buying the one by Minichamps or Tamiya MC
