Re: Anybody here collect Minichamps 1/18 diecast cars?

Can't tell you much about street cars since I don't collect them, but I have plenty of Minichamps racing models ranging from Formula 1 to 1:12 MotoGP and WSB bikes. It's middle of the road company ($75 - $100USD by nowadays prices), with some good models and some real dogs. The biggest problem with racers is the graphics are still primarily decals.

Some street cars like various Bentleys are incredibly well done way above par for what Minichamps has been able to produce in the past, but once again, I never held one in my hand, and I go by the pictures here:

I also collect Diecast 1:18 F1 Cars Mattel and Minichamps. Although Minichamps is far more superior than Mattel, I do noticed that Mattel's decals are much more durable than that of Minichamps.

I have here a Bennetton B195 Michael Schumacher, my oldest so far, and the decals seems to peel, and very brittle. A TOYOTA TF104 which the Panasonic rear decal also starting to peel. considering that I do take extra care of these models.

have you experience any of these?
