I found the following details concerning Red 15 :
Bf 109 E-3 of 3.(J)/LG 2 September 1939 piloted by Heinz < Pietsch > Brenütz.The name Peter was painted in white on the engine cowling.Peter was a common nick-name which Brenütz also carried on his Bf 109 in Spain in which he claimed three victories.He was later awarded the Ritterkreuz on 22 October 1940.
