Re: Two Hobby Master Bf 110s

I found a some interesting information in regards to the first MH Bf 110. I pretty much figured that every one noticed the absence of the 30mm cannon barrels in nose of this Bf 110. My best guess was it had something to do with the addition of the 20mm gun pack this aircraft was carrying. Well just might have found the answer. In the Aero Details issue covering the Bf 110, there is a picture of this aircraft in flight and the caption reads as follows:

A well-armed BF110G-2 of 4./ZG1 patrolls the skies of Austria against raids by Allied bombers. Note the underbelly gun pack with two MG151/20 cannons, the 300-liter drop tanks and W.Gr42 air-to-air rockets. Nose armament has been converted from four MG17s to two MK108 30mm cannons, but because of the addition of the gun pack the 30mm cannons had been removed.

Looks like HM did a good job on the first one with regards to this bit of detail. The HM night fighter does have the MK108 30mm cannon barrels in the nose.
