So are they killing their 1/48 line as the focus on the 1/72? 1/48 is my favorite scale for armor and vehicles and I was ecstatic when I saw HM was going to issue them in this scale. I already have the initial King Tigers on the way and am greatly anticipating the line but if they are moving away from the 1/48 line already ....  . |
The last I was told is they will continue to make the 1/48 scale, they are just starting to make the 1/48 scale planes so I can't see them backing away from their 1/48 scale vehicles.
I think what you will find is that the 1/72 will get attention because it is the most active scale at this time. This will not cause them to pay any less attention to 1/48. I believe that in 2007 you will see something like one 1/48 tank and one plane, 1/72 tank and plane and 1/56 tank model a month. This is just the impression I get, it's not a commitment from Hobby Master but I'm sure if the 1/48 scale does well it will lead to bigger and better things.
