Ju 87D-3 9./St.G 77, Eastern Front, 1943

Cons:


-Slightly missing or wrong details were overlooked as illustrated by the pictures I've attached below and look them
over carefully. Check the first 3 pictures: Engine, Canopy, Tail section area to see if you could spot the anomalies?


-This particular Stuka should not have the "squiggle-camouflaged" applied to this bird, see the
illustrated color profile below of the actual a/c used. However, I did see a similar photo which sported
the squiggle-camo paint job of a similar type which was flown during the 'Battle of Kursk' campaign.


-The "Dora" Stuka above should not have had the Bk 3.7, 37 mm cannons on each wing since only
the late Ju 87G-2 "Gustav" models are equipped and carried these anti-tank weapons. The G-2 variant
is known as a "Tank Buster" flown by ACE Hans Rudel.


Notes:

I apologize to those of you who are 'rivet counters' me included, but I honestly feel that FM could've done
a much better job of rendering this model to 'accurize' it properly had they only done their homework and research well.
It would make this model even more awesome had they only concentrated on the tiny details and nuances for this
particular variant to look it's best. I better not complain since I got this one for a steal!

Pros:

-This particular Stuka model (which is a "Dora-3") have the 'extended long-span wingtips' for the field upgraded "D-3" variant.
Compared to Hobby Master or Dragon's 'G-2' 1/72nd models, it looks awesome!


- Though wrong variant to have this particular weaponry: a Borg Kannone BK 3.7 (Flak 18) 37 mm anti-tank cannons; 6-round shells with armor-penetrating rounds...nevertheless, it's a very cool and striking weapon to slung under each wings and it looks the part of a "Tank Killer" machine!

- The diecast is very tightly made with no visible gaps except the usual 'Elmer screws'; pad printed markings throughout; so nice paintjob is very clean and looks pleasing to the eye, diecast sure has a 'presence' when viewed with other models yadda, yadda, yadda...!
