Re: Airline pilot fired for buzzing Washington airfield

I just read the article on CNN. Has anyone seen the video on youtube??

Hi stwh - yeah, I saw it 2 nights ago, when it 1st broke over here, in England.

The "You Tube" vid I saw was the ONLY one on there at the time (regarding this incident).........

It was about a dozen (or so) "stills" (photographs) running consecutively like an old 1890's 'monatage', rather than any smooth running video-film (of which there no-doubt must be (?).

Apparently, the Captain is British (can't remember his name, but about 55yrs old) & is (WAS !) their senior-pilot (no-more).
Trains the 'newbies' - (or rather, 'DID' !!!!!!!!).

Even if there were a few white-faces & the Co-Pilot "knew nothing" (Hmm-Pinochio !) of the low flypast, seem a waste of a good pilot ?

Having the Chairman of Cathay P' on-board (apparently they were on 1st name terms, pilot & chairman) is I s'pose NOT the ideal-guy you wanna scare ????? (hence the sacking).

Pilot says he'll "appeal", but can't see Chairman "backing-down" in a big-hurry
