Like Captain Eddie, I try to avoid pride as well, but I will say that I am extremely
grateful that by the grace of God I was born and raised in a country where we can criticize our elected leaders and choose to worship (or not) as we see fit, without fear of persecution (well, with certain minor exceptions
). I'm well aware that there are many nations on this earth where this is not the case.
This is an international forum, and in the interest of not making this thread exclusive to Americans only, I think we should open it up and let our buds from the other countries chime in on how they feel about their own citizenships.
