Re: aikens "retired" FM listings

Did anyone happen to see all the models that are now listed as "retired"? The list is quit extensive and I suggest buying them now while the prices on some are still relatively cheap.

I only have three FM models and most I paid for one was $45.00, starting to feel much better about those purchases.

Das Boot - by retired, do we mean "those colour-schemes" OR "the moulds themselves; in general" ??????????

Would LOVE to know how you guys 'Stateside' are reacting to these "bargains" = are they being 'snapped-up' OR Ignored ???????

General concensus/vibe I've picked up over here in the UK, is that folks would rather tend to "Slag them off" than delve into any potential bargains - not helped by Franklin-Mint's lack of pictures of the model(s) themselves.

Understandably, folks over here are giving 'Orange-Hurricanes' & the (poor, I'm told ?) Mosquito's a very wide berth.........yet there are a few others - that are an absolute steal, pricewise & decent quality a/c...... probably being overlooked, because of the "F.M are crap" brigade, who, stupidly, tar ALL 'F.M's a/c with the same brush.

$30 USD for an SBD seems like a bargain over here...... curious to know what price they GENERALLY go for on "the other" side of the Atlantic (various outlets, rather than ONE), whilst this "Discounting" continues ????????
