Re: FOV new stuff

Hi all,

All the FOV sold in 1.72 in the UK is in the black enthusiast box. It sells at £8.99 ( about $14.00 ) so is way above the price of $ 8.00 which Leggio quotes.

Why is this so ?

Anyone make sense of the prices?

Was the 251 which you, Leggio, reviewed one of the cheaper versions?

More supplies have appeared on this side of the pond ( Glasgow ) and I bought some more 251s. The cammo scheme ( Ambush/autumn/fall ) appears to be more subtle than your shots ( or is it a case of to much flash? ).

I agree with Legio that the Dragons are prettier and more detailed, but I love the work that FOV has put into the 251 which has made it an item, in my opinion, for other manufacturers to live up to. Also, remember that the FOV version is a true die-cast while the Dragon, like all Dragons, is a plastic kit which has been per-assembled for the enthusiast. The Dragons may excel at paint jobs, but the kits try to promote themselves as
' metal ' by including a small etched brass pressing with a small number of parts.

My 251 Fovs look exactly like the prototype shot.

Also, does anyone know if the antenna on the bonnet of the vehicle, between the cat's whiskers, is a crude sighting device? This puzzles me, but I'm too busy ( or lazy ) to research it!
