For my money ,because it is a Planes of Fame aircraft it makes it even more collectable. A great model of an aircraft from a great place. I just love it. Just to add to that, I would love to buy models based on the Reno air race types. How cool would they be in my collection. Wow.
Pappy, I have this same one and I love it...Yes, it's accurately modelled after an actual flying P-51 belonging to the Planes of Fame Museum in Chino,CA..The "BP" on the civ reg# are the initials of its owner, Bob Pond.. I hope this makes you feel better about it now and will lovingly accept it back into your stable..  |
