Roots of this hobby (for me) - early 70's

Here are 4 books I wore out as a kid in the early 1970's. (And I believe they are the root of my interest in this hobby today.)

Both Beekman books - Tanks and Weapons of WWII and Warplanes and Air Battles of WWII - I actually owned in the 70's (and have replaced, as an adult.)

Air war over Hitler's Germany and Carrier War in the Pacific, I never owned as a kid......however I had those 2 continually checked out from our local library.

I was fascinated with the art work and the pics in all 4 of these books. I think my adult interest in diecast is just a continuation of wanting these images in 3 dimensions.
