1) Dragon models are awsome scale models that look just like the real thing (yes, some have errors...), while Minichamps for all their metal simply cannot compare from an accuracy standpoint - if you don't believe me, just place a Dragon and a Minichamps Tiger side by side, and see for yourselves. Now take a picture against a real landscape, and you'll see a real tank (Dragon) and a toy (MC).
2) Have you ever heard of "zinc pest"? Visit the "Diecast central" forum (about diecast cars) or look elsewhere... Some very expensive model cars are literally falling to pieces and becoming merely dust because of a "disease" of diecast metal... It seemingly affects larger (1/24, 1/18) scales more commonly, and develops over a few years... I wonder whether any of you has already witnessed this sort of thing in his/her diecast tanks and airplanes? |
