Back in either 1982 or 1983 when I was stationed at Sheppard Air Force Base, FIFI made a fairly unusual appearance there. Seems it had a some significant engine problems and had to put down on the base. Needless to say it was on base for a couple of days before they could get it airworthy and back on its way. One day when it was still there I went out to look at the plane, well I just had to ask if I could have a look inside. To my surprise they said sure take look inside. Up and in I went and spent close to an hour and half just sitting up in the cockpit, and what fun time that was. In one of my photo albums I have some pictures I took of the interior, have to see if I can see where I put them. |
