| I believe when CW shows a wing sold out, that it has sold out the run to its distributors. Not that you are not able to find them anywhere, so much as a measure of just how popular the distributors expect it to sell. They are all basically alotted out through the distribution of retailers.
If it does go out very fast, it may be an indicator of what the expected popularity of the model will be, but that is always not an absolute. I would wager more as posted above that the smaller runs generally are an automatice quicker sell just because of the size of the run along with the chance it may be a popular piece. |
That's right, that's what started the hysteria before. We have to understand that a manufacturer can post an item as sold out before all shipments even reach the distributors then the end retailers.
That being said, if you want it buy it, for the right reasons, not because someone says it is sold out before it even hits the stores.
