decal silvering!...what you need to do is provide a gloss cote for the decal first, best stuff to use is johnsons clear or future,its a water based acrylic floor wax and is easy to apply by brush as its self levelling.i would apply to the area the decal is going on either the whole fin or mask an area with tape, let it dry apply the decal put some microsol/microset on the decal so it conforms to the surface,leave for 24hrs,clean the area with a baby wipe,let dry then put another layer of johnsons on and then finish off with some flatcoat.it may sound tedious but that's the way the experienced modellers do it
