| Re: How Many Non US, German and UK Diecast Planes Do You Have on Display?
Here is my breakdown of aircraft in my collection that are not United States aircraft types.
German 42 (2 Bf-110s on pre order will boost it to 44 in 2008)
United Kingdom/Commonwealth 20 (Gloster Gladiator on pre order will boost to 21 in 2008)
Japan 9
French 3
Italian 2
Dutch East Indies 1
Swedish (Finnish service) 1
United States aircraft at 25 models (Two more Buffalos on pre order will make it 27). I like US aircraft, but have to have a variety of different countries. What is the sense of collecting military aircraft if friend and foe are not represented. Nothing like having a Spitfire or P-40 sitting next to a Bf 109 on the shelf. It would be nice if the current diecast model companies would put out a broader variety of aircraft from different nations. |
