Re: Fairwell GMP

Cardo, if the only criteria for giving 'thumbs up' to GMP's Mustangs is based upon looking good rather than looking accurate, then I'm in total agreement. They look great. If real P-51Ds had huge, visible flap hinges, skinny landing gear etc. then they would have a true winner on their hands and I would be lamenting their departure from the aircraft sector of the diecast world along with everyone else....It seems GMP compensated for the Mustangs' anorexic landing gear by making their P-40s' "legs" too thick....

running for cover with my helmet now as I anticipate the incoming wrath!.....

I'll agree with you on the P40s but not with your opinion on my much beloved GMP Mustangs . The GMP P40 is one of the finest models ever produced in diecast but is, regrettably, let down by a 'gimmicky' landing gear system that is, as you correctly point out, far too thick (and not sufficiently durable).

One sheep to rule them all ...
