Funny I have the same model and it sits fine in my display case, Since IXO models are so heavy I doubt they could add more metal to the front, and I am glad they did not make the back all plastic with a seam like I gave seen Corgi do on a few. Maybe you can make an adustment to the gear so it leans forward a tiny bit?
I used to collect Gemini Jets planes and quite a few needed the gear bent a tiny tiny bit to not fall on there butt.

| What is it with IXO? They're like the gang that couldn't shoot straight.
The DO-335 is really a nice model, but it has one glaring fault. It won't stand on its wheels without ending up on its duff. It's too bad they didn't add some additional weight to the nose to keep it from tipping. I used to be an active plastic model maker and I learned the hard way from assembling P-38s. A little modeling putty in the nose did the trick, but I can't see a way to do the same to the diecast DO-335. Let's hope Corgi gets it right on their P-38 releases. |
