| Are you sure? I thought they switched to AG almost immediately upon actually finalizing the transition. AFAIK the AA codes were only for the ones that were being "held" by VFA-106 while 103 was getting ready and initial transition. More of a holdover from the F-14's than an actual wing assignment. But I didn't follow them TOO closely in the period between "VFA-106 doing airshows with their planes, and actually going out to sea". |
Sorry, I meant when their tomcats were making their final landings, the Super Hornet/s that were waiting for them had the AA letter coding I think. Though I've only seen photos of the high-vis 'AA' ones to be honest.
