It has an arrestor hook painted on the underside near the tail, but the casting wasn't modified for the hook.. I guess its a "give n take" deal.. Can't beat it for $9.99  |
Not all Royal Navy Hurricanes had arrestor hooks, as many were knackered 'war weary' ex-RAF Mk 1 airframes, that were retired from combat, but deemed usefull enough to train 'sprog' Fleet-Air-Arm pilots.
Going from memory, many of the R.N. Hurricanes serials started with a 'Z' prefix.
A good source to relate to is 'Hawker Hurricane' by Francis K Mason.....
