Re: GMP Pacific Diorama

JP , I wonder if the plane side of the business didn't give the return on investment GMP hoped for.
That must be the case or they would have told us by now that they were going ahead with another model.
I agree with you that an F4U made by GMP would be a spectactular piece of die-cast, folding wings etc.
Lets wait and see, fingers crossed they will consider a project like that. looked into buying a diorama for my P40s but I thought them very expensive.

I think the bad thing was they priced themselves out of the ballpark price range with their planes.
If it had stayed at the 100.00 area then retailers can mark it down to 79.99 to 89.99 they would of sold more i think.
But another downside might of been the 1:35 scale ..Such a odd scale to have for a plane..1:32 would of been better choice IMHO.
I really hoped to see the Corsair from GMP but it looks like we won't now...
Knowing that GMP is no longer going to make planes anymore i hope it don't knock the value of these first 2 releases that came out...i saw a Old Crow the other day on eBay end at 56.85 and all that was missing on the plane was the rear tail wheel rubber tire..
