I've got a few hardcover color reference books from
Histoire & Collections and, IMHO, these are some of nicest for historical materials (newspaper clippings, patches, clothing, color aircraft plates, etc.). One that I can't get enough of and can highly recommend is the
8th Air force "American Heavy Bomber Groups in England, 1942-45" by Gregory PONS.
