I am reading "Queen of the Flat Tops" by Stanley Johnson (1943) and it was written before Butch died. Johnson was a correspondent, on the ship during Coral Sea and also as she was sunk. There are some good Butch quotes in this book, esp. in shooting down Bettys. |
