One little additional point, the wire can rust if the model is in the wrong climate conditions. To prevent this (if its a concern) use a little "Dull Coat clear". Simply apply a small coating to the wire, not to much though!
This has only been a problem for me once though and it was minor. The model in question was one I had built over 10 years prior so a tad bit of rust on the wire was not surprising.
