Well, if I could start my own company, I'd be assuming that I'd have enough capital to make some models that nobody else is making. I'd be banking on the "if you build it, they will come" philosophy. So, in that spirit, my subjects would be, in 1/72nd and possibly in 1/144th-

1) Seaplanes- there's a whole mess of them out there waiting to be modelled, like the PBM Mariner and P-5 Marlin.
2) Earlier Jets- the first releases would be covering the Navy jets and the T-33
3) Two-seaters- seems to be a lot of clamoring for the TA-4, TF-104 and others.
4) Experimental and Cancelled planes- I think there would be a (limited) market for both experimental birds and ones that didn't make it to production for one reason or another. Two I would definitely put out in this range- the YF-23 and the P6M Seamaster...
