San Diego area is getting the worst of it. Today might be worse than yesterday with higher temperatures and winds. Fires up in the mountains at Lake Arrowhead were also eating homes yesterday and I'm sure last night. Here where I live it is calm with orangish light from all the smoke. I'm 35 miles east of downtown LA and two miles from the foothills and have fires to the south, east, and west of me. No danger to me or to most of Los Angeles though- it is the hillside and canyon areas that are in danger for the most part. |
