Ebay prices have been so up and down recently -- it's tougher to figure out a good price for a piece of diecast it seems than a barrel of crude oil...

case in point:

Why in the world would anyone pay $80 for this model (and the auction's still live)... it's available at retail all sorts of places for less.

BOL is back up in price, as is sleepy time gal -- next thing you know You Cawn't Miss It will be in demand Summer's over and the casual buyers with more money than sense are back in the bidder wars?

Been noticing some crazy price swings lately... the moon? the tides?

Seems like May through late mid September is a buyers market period and those months in between swing in favor of the sellers. I have been selling on eBay for close to seven years now and pretty much close up shop during the slow months.
