Re: Special hobby 1/32 P-39

This is the Special Hobby kit .. problems were . locating pins (or lack off) .. gaps in wing roots .. i had 2.5 mm both sides ,used polysheet and filler. Prop is meant to be glued on .. i modified spinner so it turns and used polysheet cut into circle inside fuselage as a backing plate .. fuselage halves didnt line up that good .. resin exhausts were warped .. used a lot of nose weight to bring nose down .. (could do with metal u/c as part of kit instead of plastic).............paints used were Xrtacrylix XA1117 (interior)...XA1113 faded olive green ...XA1133 neutral grey ..yellow was humbrol enamel #24 .. then a brown wash (Flory Models weathering wash) sealed in with vallejo matt coat .. all brush painted.

Very nicely done! I have tried major body work before, and I'm not good at it. It takes a lot of time, talent and patience to make a "fixer-upper" look as good as you made this look.

Flexibility is the key to airpower.
Indecision is therefore the key to Airpower.
