Just got my shipment from an online retailer's big sale (5 planes total) and realized that the Corgi Predators Rudel Stuka I ordered (PR99401) was not there and another Stuka was (PR99407, boring follow-on plane)!
Looked at the packing slip and it shows PR99407, dug up the online confirmation and it shows PR99407! Now, I am pretty positive (99%) that I selected the correct plane (based on the image on the site, which was correct for the Rudel plane, I did not look at the model #) but obviously the retailer's system (automated to some extent) shows PR99407. Essentially, I am screwed...either I accidentally chose the wrong plane or the retailer's system is messed up and I have no way to prove it.
To make matters worse, the plane I want is sold out at the retailer. I guess I can return in for a refund but then I've spent 33% of the cost of the plane to return it and have nothing to show for it ($25 cost). I have contacted the retailer but I don't hold out much hope of a satisfactory outcome... In the end, I've got a $25 plane I don't want and will have to spend another $35-40 for the one I want!
Anyone else ever go through something similar?
