Re: Witty Spitfire - What do you think?

Tundra - Witty's Spitfire casting is quite good, and in my book is far better than Corgi's MkIX but not on a par with Gemini's. Where it falls short is the propeller (thin blades), slipper tank (they put them on all their Spitfires, though you can remove them), misaligned cockpit (see sideview pic on the Mule site - pilots head is behind the canopy! - this too can be fixed - I wrote the instructions!) and the fixed down landing gear. The guns I believe are accurate, Witty went through the trouble of modifying them for this model only. Finish and markings are well done.

Though that seems like a long list of negatives I still like the model and can recommend it, but at under $20. You'll occasionally see them fairly cheap on eBay.
