Despite their admirable streamlining and relatively high performance levels the French managed to produce barely 80-90 of its Amiot 351 and 353 light bombers before they were overrun by the Germans in 1940. With only a handful attaining operational status and few crews trained to use them the Amiots saw little action. The Germans reportedly used a few of these planes as light transports, but that seems to be the extent of their wartime service. A sad end for a promising design.
