Re: Quiz, Can you name this plane

William Winters in his book WAR PLANES of all Nations (Copyright 1943) had some nice things to say on the Amiot series of aircraft and provided some more information on the Amiot 370.
" Possibly the best-looking bomber ever designed is France's exquisitely streamlined Amiot 350 or 351, a twin-engined midwing with projectile-like body and graceful wings. Its extraordinary abilit to fly far and fast with a heavy load was demostrated on February 28, 1938, when a special long-range verson known ast the 370 set four international records with a single flight. With a load of 4,400 pounds, pilot Rossi and Vigroux flew 1,242 milse over an observed course between Meknes and Oran, Nothe Africa, at and average speed of 273 m.p.h."

If you can ever find a copy of this old book snatch it up. It might be considered old an out dated, but definitely gives a good view of aviation history during that period of time.
